Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Salomon Huck Knife snowboard features a twin-tip shape, ideal for freestyle as its symmetrical shape allows to ride both regular and switch. The wood core is reinforced by two layers of triaxial fiberglass for better stiffness and power. Paired pronounced camber between the bindings, this board offers lots of pop as well as responsiveness on groomed snow. It still retains some flex to land jib tricks. At the tips, the camber turns into rocker. This allows to initiate turns quicker and promotes the ability to lift on powder, very much appreciated to have fun on side hits.

What are the main qualities of the Salomon Huck Knife snowboard?

Pop

Responsiveness

Versatility

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
