Description

Santa Cruz has equipped the Off Hand with a light and powerful Competition HCM+ shell, reinforced with two layers of triaxial fibreglass. The result is a board with a fairly firm flex, offering a lot of pop and stability, thanks to the well-marked classic camber. Finally, the Super Speed S8000 sole offers, as its name suggests, an excellent glide quality to easily reach high speeds.

What is the Santa Cruz Off Hand snowboard programme?

The Santa Cruz Off Hand offers you everything you need for big rides in the snowpark. The combination of the classic camber and the dynamic construction provides the grip and stability needed. You can easily pick-up speed, the edge grip remains firm and the board doesn't shake. This also allows you to enjoy the snow on the piste enabling you to bombard in long curves early in the morning on the perfectly groomed piste. The spatulas retain a bit of flex enabling you to press and easily release big ollies. The twin-tip shape gives you the perfect balance for all your tricks.

Who is the Santa Cruz Off Hand snowboard intended for?

This model is intended for experienced/expert snowboarders looking for a board specifically designed for the snowpark, and more specifically for riding a slopestyle, big air or half-pipe.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
