Description

The emblematic model of the YES brand, the Basic is faithful to its mission, winter after winter. Never disappointing, constantly improved, the Basic starts from a simple recipe with three ingredients: a twin-tip shape, a camber + rocker profile and a flex that is neither too soft nor too stiff.

What is the program of the Yes Basic snowboard?

With the Basic, snowboarding comes down to the essentials: enjoy the groomed slopes, performing tricks and going for a bit of pop when the conditions allow it. You also get the perfect mix of performance and riding comfort/playability. The Basic is easy to ride, but still has enough punch to set the pace on descents, pull off big ollies, and pick up speed in turns. It is equally effective on hard and soft snow, allowing you to go anywhere in the resort. Whatever you want to do today and whatever the snow conditions allow, you'll have fun with the Basic.

Who is the Yes Basic snowboard for?

The Yes Basic is a board that can be ridden by almost anyone, as it is versatile, fun to ride and progressive. It will appeal to a snowboarder looking for a simple and efficient board to enjoy the slopes, as well as to a more committed snowboarder looking for a board suitable for freestyle in the park and on the slopes.

What are the main qualities of the Yes Basic snowboard?

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
