Description

Amplid has designed three large, versatile boards with a simple design. The memory stick, the Soulmate and the Cab Driver. The Cab Driver is the most freestyle of the three.

Amplid's Cab Driver is the ultimate freestyle-oriented all-round snowboard, designed for riders who want to push their limits on any terrain. Featuring a 100% Twintip shape and a lightweight yet responsive construction, it offers an ideal compromise between high-speed stability and park maneuverability.

What's in it for the Amplid Cab Driver snowboard?

The Amplid Cab Driver is aimed at freestyle enthusiasts who want to ride in the snowpark as well as on piste or piste-side. Its Cambre + Rocker profile combines effective grip underfoot thanks to the classic camber and lift as well as great forgiveness with rockers placed in the tip. Omni Core and Biax fiberglass technologies guarantee lightness, responsive pop and good torsion for alternating technical tricks, dynamic carving or more committed passages off the beaten track.

Who is the Amplid Cab Driver snowboard for?

This model is mainly aimed at intermediate to advanced riders: those who have already mastered their board on different types of snow, are looking for an evolutionary board capable of accompanying their progression towards more committed freestyle rides.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
