Description

Amplid's Kill Switch is a versatile freeride snowboard, offering great ease in deep powder while ensuring great on-piste and freestyle skills. Its directional twin shape with midwide center ensures stability at high speed and avoids any risk of boot drag, while its voluminous nose and worked back tip offer playful behavior in fresh snow. This model combines all-mountain performance and surfy sensations for those who want to have fun everywhere without compromise.

What's in it for the Amplid Kill Switch snowboard?

The Kill Switch features a Cambre + Rocker Directionnal Cruise Camber profile: it offers a classic camber between the feet to guarantee grip and relaunch on hard snow, complemented by generous rockers at the tips (Floatation Tips) that facilitate lift in powder. Thanks to its HEXO2 Core construction with lightened honeycomb structure in the nose, this board gains in agility without sacrificing floatation or inertia during rapid changes of direction. It's a board built to carve hard on piste as well as to send powerful turns into the pow.

Who is the Amplid Kill Switch snowboard for?

This model is aimed at intermediate to advanced riders, accustomed to all types of terrain and wanting responsive yet accessible equipment. Ideal for those looking for a high-performance board that allows technical progression while keeping plenty of fun underfoot.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
