Description

The Crosscut Camber from Arbor is a freeride snowboard, as is made evident by the directional shape giving it a slightly tapered aspect with a setback stance, to improve turning abilities and natural powder floatability. For the rest of the characteristics, you find a classic camber, powerful construction using sustainable materials such as recycled steel, FSC certified wood, bio sourced glue and wax, etc.  

What is the program of the Arbor Crosscut Camber snowboard?

The Crosscut Camber has a paulownia and poplar core reinforced by baboo stringers along the sidewalls for more torsional rigidity and responsiveness. It offers a firm flex and lots of rebound, without being too radical either. The classic camber allows to fully benefit from this power, offering lots of bite and stability on the edges to carve deep on the slopes. The directional shape with setback stance offers loads of control and allows to initiate the turns with ease. It also offers the required float to carve beautiful lines in powder, making this board a true gem both on freshly groomed slopes and in fresh powder back country.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
