Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Armada Beatnik is the all-mountain freestyle snowboard in the Armada lineup: a board designed for those who want to ride the entire mountain without a second thought, while keeping an eye out for side hits and natural features. Its versatility and playful spirit make it a solid choice for those who refuse to choose between the trails and the backcountry.

What is the Armada Beatnik snowboard designed for?

The Armada Beatnik is a freestyle-oriented all-mountain board, built to tackle runs, side hits, rollers, and features without switching boards. Its directional shape defines a distinct front and back: you’ll feel more comfortable carving and riding in light powder than riding switch. The camber profile underfoot, combined with rocker at the tips, gives you grip and pop on groomed runs, along with welcome forgiveness in less-groomed areas. It’s the ultimate hybrid profile for a board that wants to do it all without sacrificing responsiveness.

Who is the Armada Beatnik snowboard designed for?

The Armada Beatnik is designed for intermediate to advanced riders looking for a single board for the entire mountain, from on-piste carving to natural features.

  • The rider who alternates between turns on groomed runs and playing with natural terrain
  • The rider who wants to improve her freestyle skills without neglecting the rest of the mountain
  • The snowboarder looking for a responsive but not stiff board that’s easy to maneuver

Best suited if you want a single board to ride the entire mountain and really want to play with the terrain.

Not recommended if your session consists solely of landing big jumps in the park: this board isn’t designed for that.

What are the main features of the Armada Beatnik snowboard?

Pop

Does the Armada Beatnik’s base require a lot of maintenance?

Yes, its sintered base must be waxed regularly to maintain effective glide. In return, it offers good durability and solid performance on long days on the mountain.

What are the Titanal Impact Plates on the Armada Beatnik for?

The Titanal Impact Plates reinforce areas exposed to repeated impacts. They provide useful protection during landings and frequent runs over features.

Where does the Armada Beatnik’s pop come from?

Its dynamic character is largely due to the Pop-Lawnia Bamboo Core and the Bambooster reinforcement. This construction helps the board return energy during ollies and weight shifts.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
