Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Armada Kure snowboard is a 100% powder freeride board designed for speed, responsiveness, and a freestyle approach to natural terrain. Specialized and premium, it combines a true surf-like feel with the responsiveness needed to ride aggressively in deep snow.

What is the Armada Kure snowboard designed for?

The Armada Kure is designed to float in powder, string together fluid turns, and maintain control as speed increases. Its directional shape features a distinct nose and tail, making it more comfortable in turns and deep snow than when riding switch. Its hybrid camber combines camber underfoot for grip and pop with rocker at the tips to enhance float and provide a bit of forgiveness. It remains effective for carving turns on connecting runs, but it’s not designed to be ridden exclusively on groomed snow all season long. In powder, the grip provided by this hybrid profile lets you really commit: the rider feels the board bite when needed and naturally lift its nose in deep snow. This isn’t a board for spending the season on groomed runs.

Who is the Armada Kure snowboard designed for?

The Kure is designed for the advanced to expert female snowboarder who wants a board tailored for a single type of terrain—but one that excels at it.

  • The rider who heads off-piste as soon as it snows
  • The snowboarder looking for a construction specifically designed for women’s body types, not just a colorful variation of a unisex model
  • The rider who prefers challenging freeride and knows how to read the terrain

Best suited if you’re an experienced rider who hunts for powder and wants a board designed for that.

Avoid this if you’re looking for a versatile board to spend your season on the groomers, in the park, and off-piste.

Can the Kure be ridden switch?

Its directional shape isn’t designed for switch riding: the board responds best when ridden in the forward direction. For a rider who likes to switch directions, a twintip shape would be more suitable.

How does the Pop-Lawnia Bamboo core affect the board’s performance?

The core combines bamboo and wood to offer both lightness and responsiveness: the bamboo adds liveliness to the board, which is felt in its responsiveness to pressure and in the natural rebound of the camber underfoot.

What is the purpose of the Titanal Impact plates on the Kure?

The Titanal plates are integrated into the binding areas to locally stiffen the board under pressure and transmit the rider’s intentions with greater precision, especially during aggressive turns on heavy or crusty snow.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
