Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Armada Sicko, is a snowboard built around a single goal: to seek out powder and ride it to the max. Directional, stiff, and with character to spare, it’s designed for the snowboarder who knows what they want and where they’re going—and who prefers to carve creative lines in fresh snow rather than get lost on a groomed blue run.

What is the Armada Sicko snowboard designed for?

The Armada Sicko snowboard is built for powder: it’s its natural playground, the one for which every design choice was made. Its directional shape generates lift in deep snow and naturally guides turns. The camber + rocker profile combines camber underfoot—which provides grip and responsiveness in turns—with rocker at the tips, helping the board float in deep snow and forgiving minor weight-shifting mistakes. This isn’t a board designed for spending the season on groomed runs: it’s in its element when the snow is fresh and deep.

Who is the Armada Sicko snowboard designed for?

The Armada Sicko is designed for intermediate to expert riders looking for a responsive, precise, and uncompromising board in powder.

  • Riders who frequent off-piste areas and couloirs in fresh snow
  • Snowboarders who want to carve creative lines at high speeds
  • Riders who have already mastered board control and want a board that responds to their commitment

A top choice if you’re looking for a specialized powder board with true carving performance in deep snow.

Avoid this if you’re a beginner or want a versatile board for all terrain within the ski area.

Can the Armada Sicko be used on groomed runs?

The Sicko can handle groomed runs thanks to its camber and solid edge grip on hard snow, but it isn’t designed for that: its directional shape and construction are optimized for fresh, deep snow, not for stringing together runs on corduroy.

What is the purpose of the Pop-Lawnia Bamboo core on the Armada Sicko?

The Pop-Lawnia Bamboo core combines bamboo and lawnia wood to offer both lightness and dynamism: the bamboo adds snap and liveliness to the board, resulting in crisp responsiveness when you load the edges in powder or on a committed turn.

Do the Titanal Impact plates change the Sicko’s behavior at high speeds?

The flat Titanal Impact reinforcements are aluminum alloy plates placed under the bindings: they locally stiffen the board and dampen vibrations as speed increases, maintaining stable and precise edge contact even in choppy snow.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
