Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Bataleon Disaster+ is a park board designed to dominate jib lines, with the character of a board that’s just begging to be put through its paces. An upgraded version of the classic Disaster, it features higher-end materials for a more responsive and precise ride on park features. This board is perfect for experienced snowboarders who spend their sessions searching for creative lines in the park.

What is the Bataleon Disaster+ snowboard designed for?

The Disaster+ is built for the park: rails, boxes, kickers, and jib lines. That’s where it shines, and that’s where it excels.

The twintip shape, perfectly symmetrical from nose to tail, makes the Disaster+ ride the same in both directions: you ride switch exactly like you do regular, without compromise. The classic Low camber provides pop without being too pronounced, so it’s not overly demanding.

The Carbon Stringers deliver immediate responsiveness and crisp pop, while the Bi-Ax Laminate layup maintains a supple and forgiving flex underfoot.

Who is the Bataleon Disaster+ snowboard designed for?

The Disaster+ is designed for the experienced snowboarder who already has a solid foundation in the park and wants a board built for rails and jib lines.

  • The experienced rider looking for a jib specialist for intense park sessions
  • The snowboarder who’s working on creative tricks on features and wants pop

Best for if: you spend most of your sessions in the park.

Avoid this if: you’re looking for a versatile board to explore all areas of the resort.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Bataleon Disaster+ Snowboard

Is the Bataleon Disaster+ different from the classic Disaster?

The Disaster+ is the upgraded version of the Disaster, featuring higher-end materials: Carbon Stringers and Aramid X-Ply replace a more basic construction for crisper pop and better responsiveness.

What does SideKick technology actually do?

SideKick technology slightly raises the edges at the nose and tail, making turn entries smoother and reducing the risk of unwanted catching.

Does the Hyper Glide S base require any special maintenance?

The Hyper Glide S base is a sintered base: it absorbs wax better than an extruded base and gains significantly in speed once waxed regularly.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
