Description

The Evil Twin’s reputation is well established, this twin-tip snowboard with powerful pop features good grip but also forgiveness thanks to concave tips with a playful flex. This freestyle board also lets you trace beautiful turns on piste and float on pow.

What is the program of the Bataleon Evil Twin snowboard?

The Evil Twin benefits from a classic camber paired to an Ultra Light wood core which uses poplar and paulownia, triaxial glass fibre and X shaped Carbon Stringers reinforcements under the feet. This combination creates a lightweight and powerful board, yet accessible with maximum pop to send good ollies and flexible tips for flat ground tricks. A central carbon insert provides even more pop for even higher ollies. As the board offers good torsional stiffness, you can carve on groomers with good grip and stability, this will also be useful on the terrain park’s bigger jumps. Typical of Bateleon snowboards, the Evil Twin benefits from concave tips to improve the forgiveness on the edges and the behaviour on soft snow and pow, to send tricks outside the park as well.

Who is the Bataleon Evil Twin snowboard for?

The Evil Twin is clearly a freestyle board for a snowboarder who wants a twin-tip with pop to shred everywhere. It is accessible from the intermediate level, but advanced and expert riders will also have fun as this board packs some punch.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
