Description

The Bataleon Fun.Kink is a twin-tip directional snowboard, which combines the freestyle skills of a twin-tip with the maneuverability and versatility of a directional snowboard. This board is symmetrical from nose to tail, but the position of the binding inserts has been slightly set back slightly improving its manoeuvrability and floatation.

What is the programme of the Bataleon Fun.Kink snowboard?

Due to its twin directional shape, the Fun.Kink is a very versatile board. With it, you can ride on the piste, on the edges of the piste and in the snowpark. Its wood shell offers a medium flex, well balanced between performance and accessibility and it is reinforced by two carbon stringers that boost the pop in ollie and the revival in the turns. It is easy to ride and offers flexibility for freestyle, but allows you to set the pace on the slopes where a softer board would quickly start to shake. Finally, the convex shape of the spatula (3bT and SideKick technologies) provides forgiveness for tricks, reduces the risk of edge faults and slightly improves lift in powder. You've got it, here's a really fun board with which you're going to enjoy the whole resort!

Who is the Bataleon Fun.Kink snowboard for?

Accessible from the intermediate level, the Fun.Kink is perfect for snowboarders who like to ride on the piste as much as they do freestyle. Progressive, it allows you to have fun and to gradually build up your strength.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
