Description

The Bataleon Fun.Kink is a directional twin with a wood core offering a medium/soft flex, reinforced with two carbon stringers to increase ollie pop and bounce in turns. The classic camber combined with concave tips provides a secure grip while remaining quite forgiving.

What is the program of the Bataleon Fun.Kink snowboard?

The Fun.Kink has a symmetrical shape between the nose and tail, with a slightly set back foot position that allows you to increase manoeuvrability and versatility. The board rides well in switch and has a true tail for tricks, but you benefit from an easier ride and better lift in powder. The flex is accessible and low energy, but the board still delivers a nice energy thanks to the carbon reinforcements. The board can be ridden on the piste or on the sidecut and is still efficient and easy to handle, while allowing you to work on your tricks in the snowpark. A great all-rounder for freestyle/all-mountain.

Who is the Bataleon Fun.Kink snowboard for?

We recommend this model to intermediate to advanced snowboarders who ride all over the resort and are looking to progress in all aspects of freestyle and all-mountain/freeride.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
