It’s designed for advanced to expert snowboarders looking for a board that can rise to the challenge in the most demanding conditions.

What is the Bataleon Men’s Thunderstorm snowboard designed for?

The Men’s Thunderstorm is a freeride board designed for aggressive off-piste riding: big slopes, cliff lines, variable snow, and powder. Its directional shape makes it precise and efficient in turns and powder, but less comfortable riding switch. The classic camber provides pop when exiting turns and requires an aggressive riding style to unlock its full potential. SideKick technology raises the edges at the nose and tail, which makes turn entries smoother and improves performance in deep snow.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
