The Bataleon Stereo Team is the board used by the riders on the Bataleon team, led by Ethan Morgan and Halldór Helgason. A high-performance all-mountain freestyle board, built without compromise, for those who want to ride hard everywhere and all the time.

What’s the story behind the Bataleon Stereo Team snowboard?

The Bataleon Stereo Team is a versatile board with a freestyle focus: it covers the entire ski area, from the park to street spots and backcountry terrain, without ever feeling out of place. It’s a twintip, meaning the nose and tail are perfectly identical, allowing you to ride switch exactly as you would ride regular, without losing an ounce of control. The classic camber profile generates pop on kickers and crisp edge grip when turning: it requires an aggressive riding style, but it responds instantly. SideKick technology slightly raises the contact points at the nose and tail, which smooths out edge transitions and makes the board more maneuverable on uneven terrain.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
