Description

A top-of-the-range snowboard, this model has only been produced in 150 copies and is sold with its own carry bag. It is a light and dynamic board with a Super Ultra-Light wood shell, triaxial fibreglass and carbon reinforcements along the edges, in the nose and tail. 

What is the programme of the snowboard Bataleon The Surfer?   

It does not go unnoticed with its ultra-directional shape which starts on a voluminous nose and ends on a tail with a hyper accentuated swallow tail shape. The foot position is very set back, with the rear foot almost at the end of the tail, which allows you to pull the nose out of the tail without any effort and offers exceptional manoeuvrability. The wood shell is equipped with Air Core technology which reduces vibrations at high speeds, while the very high-density Nano Speed S outsole will allow you to reach these supremely high speeds quickly! Easy to ride, fast and agile, this board is a real treat in powder. And you can also try it in the early morning on a freshly groomed track, it holds its edge well and provides great sensations!

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
