Description

The Bataleon Whatever is a directional twin snowboard, which combines the freestyle qualities of a twin-tip with the advantages of a directional board in terms of manoeuvrability and versatility. The construction is light and toned, with a Light Core wood core, carbon reinforcements in the centre of the board and on the edges, while the sides are protected by urethane to better manage the impact. Like all Bataleon snowboards, the Whatever features the 3BT and the SideKick technology for more forgiveness in turns.

What is the program of the Bataleon Whatever snowboard?

The Bataleon Whatever lives up to its name. This is the board you can ride no matter what the conditions are and what you want to do all day. It has a classic camber that provides a good grip on hard snow and convex shaped tips that make it easy to ride the edges while improving glide on powder and bumpy terrain. Its flex is accessible, but the carbon reinforcements in the centre and on the sides allow for a dynamic pop and efficient edge hold. It is therefore a good balance allowing you to send in the turns while maintaining the playability of the skis in freestyle. Finally, the setback foot position makes it easier to ride, while the symmetrical shape keeps the board very comfortable in switch. This is a very versatile board with which you can ride all over the resort and do freestyle.

Who is the Bataleon Whatever snowboard for?

Accessible from the intermediate level, the Whatever will please a wide range of snowboarders looking for a board with which they can ride everywhere and progress on all levels.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
