Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Bataleon Whatever is the board for those who refuse to choose: neither strictly freeride nor strictly freestyle, it covers the entire mountain with a distinct all-mountain character.

What does the Bataleon Whatever snowboard lineup consist of?

The Bataleon Whatever is an all-mountain board with a freeride bent: it feels at home anywhere on the mountain, with a slight preference for ungroomed edges of the slopes and wilder terrain. Its directional twin shape combines the symmetry of a classic twin with a slight directional offset, allowing you to ride switch without sacrificing its all-mountain performance. The classic camber—an arched profile underfoot—provides pop and solid grip on groomed snow.

Who is the Bataleon Whatever snowboard designed for?

The Bataleon Whatever is designed for intermediate to advanced riders who want a single board capable of handling everything, without compromising on stability at high speeds.

  • Riders who switch between groomed runs and ungroomed terrain in the same session
  • Advanced snowboarders looking for a reliable board at high speeds
  • All-mountain riders who want to stay comfortable riding switch without sacrificing directional control

A top choice if you’re confident and looking for a board that handles everything without a hitch.

Avoid this if you spend most of your sessions in the snowpark pulling off tricks on the features.

What are the main features of the Bataleon Whatever snowboard?

Versatility

Stability

Precision

Does the Bataleon Whatever hold its speed well on groomed runs?

Yes: the classic camber provides solid grip, and the board’s high stiffness ensures solid stability at high speeds on groomed snow. You can push hard without the board veering off in all directions.

What kind of base is used on the Bataleon Whatever?

The Whatever is equipped with Bataleon’s Hyper Glide S base, designed to reduce friction and maintain good glide in a variety of conditions. Like any high-performance base, it requires regular waxing.

Can you ride the Bataleon Whatever switch?

Yes, the twin-directional shape makes riding switch easy: the board stays balanced under your feet in both directions, even though the slight directional offset gives you a slightly more natural feel in the regular stance.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
