Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

Close to the Artefact, the Borealis Tundra stands out with a slightly stronger focus on freestyle and riding groomers, whereas the Artefact is more geared towards freeride and powder sessions. Despite this distinction, the Tundra remains a directional twin snowboard offering remarkable versatility.

What is the Borealis Tundra snowboard made for?

The Tundra features a symmetrical shape between nose and tail, but with a subtle 12 mm setback of the inserts. This slight shift makes it easier to initiate turns and enhances float in deep snow, while maintaining excellent stability for riding switch or having fun on terrain park features. Its balanced flex combines responsiveness with forgiveness: thanks to its traditional camber paired with carbon reinforcements at each end, it delivers lively pop without sacrificing the softness needed for playfulness. Edge hold on groomed runs remains solid while its ability to float allows you to easily explore untouched backcountry lines weaving through trees.

Who is the Borealis Tundra snowboard aimed at?

This board targets intermediate to advanced riders looking to alternate between tricks in the terrain park and dynamic descents across all types of terrain—whether marked trails or off-piste adventures.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
