Description

With the Flight Attendant snowboard, we are gently entering the high-end range of Burton snowboards. The quality construction with a lightweight, dynamic Super Fly II wood shell reinforced with glass and carbon fiber offers lots of dynamism while remaining comfortable to ride.

What is the program of the Burton Flight Attendant snowboard?

With its directional construction and shape, the Flight Attendant snowboard is designed for the curve. You'll notice the slightly tapered shape of the snowboard, which allows the nose to come out naturally when riding in powder. On piste or hard off-piste snow, it's on the classic camber that you'll rely on for a good edge grip. The construction provides responsiveness and stability and with the added benefit of an easy curve initiation thanks to the setback foot position, you can enjoy drawing beautiful carved lines on piste or slalom between the pines off-piste. It's a very versatile board that allows you to go just about anywhere and offers you a responsive ride without being too physically demanding.

Who is the Burton Flight Attendant snowboard for?

The Burton Flight Attendant is designed for experienced to expert snowboarders who prefer to snowboard in curves and trajectories, as opposed to a more freestyle vision of snowboarding. It will be perfect if you want to improve your freeriding skills, discover the joys of off-piste or if you are already an experienced freerider looking for a board that is comfortable in the supports.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
