Description

The Flight Attendant from Burton is a high-end freeride model. It is very directional, with a tapered shape, a very setback stance and a flex that gets stiffer toward the back of the board. All this provides maximum turning performance, with quick turn initiations and optimum trajectory control on any terrain, while considerably improving the ability to lift in powder. The profile of the board is also directional, for the same effects, with a very substantial rocker at the nose, followed by classic camber to provide power, grip and rebound. Finally, regarding the construction, the Super Fly II 700G core uses a robust and lightweight wood, combined to a Triax glass fibre structure with an I-Beam carbon reinforcement. It offers good torsional stiffness to provide lots of stability on the edges, you can ride fast without getting board chatter and enjoy powerful rebound when carving. However, the board is not the stiffest there is either, and still offers some riding comfort. To place under the feet of advanced/experts snowboarders looking for power and performance to ride hard on any terrain, without having the stiffest snowboard possible either.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
