The FT Pow Wrench snowboard stands out due to its very pronounced directional shape, which starts with a very round nose and ends with a very pronounced swallow tail. It has a sintered sole using recycled materials and offers excellent gliding quality. As with all Burton snowboards, the different materials of the FT Pow Wrench have been assembled with Super Sap Epoxy ecological glue.  

What is the program of the Burton FT Pow Wrench snowboard?  

The FT Pow Wrench is a board designed to be ridden a few centimeters shorter than your usual board size, in order to take full advantage of its maneuverability. It's a board that offers maximum flotation for a small size, making it a real racing board with which you can set dynamic and winding trajectories in powder snow. The very backward position of the inserts gives you optimal control on the rear foot and makes it easy to get into curves. The medium flex allows a good compromise between playability and stability at high speed. Finally, for the on-piste passages or sections of mixed snow or hard snow in off-piste conditions, the flat camber offers a secure grip, even if it is primarily designed to maximize lift in the snow.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
