Description détaillée du produit — Process Bad Dog

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Burton Process Bad Dog is Burton’s benchmark versatile freestyle board for riders who want one snowboard to link up park sessions and shred the rest of the resort. Twin shape, hybrid profile, medium flex: everything is designed for playing with the terrain without overthinking it. A board with plenty of personality that doesn’t need to be tamed.

What is the Burton Process Bad Dog snowboard designed for?

The Burton Process Bad Dog is an all-mountain freestyle board: it is just as comfortable on kickers or jibs as it is doing laps on groomers. The twin shape lets you ride both ways without losing any board feel. The PurePop Camber profile, Burton’s name for its hybrid camber, combines camber underfoot for edge hold and pop, with rocker at the tips for greater forgiveness when initiating turns and improved float in powder.

Who is the Burton Process Bad Dog snowboard aimed at?

The Burton Process Bad Dog is built for intermediate to advanced riders who want to progress in freestyle without neglecting the rest of the mountain.

  • The snowboarder who spends time in the park but also wants to ride the whole resort
  • Riders starting to send it more seriously on kickers and rails
  • The versatile rider looking for a single board for the entire season

Choose it if you are comfortable on features and want to take your freestyle riding to the next level.

Avoid it if you are looking for a board designed primarily for deep powder or committed freeriding.

What are the main strengths of the Burton Process Bad Dog snowboard?

Playfulness

Edge hold

Versatility

Can you ride the Burton Process Bad Dog switch?

Yes, without compromise: the perfectly symmetrical twin shape and centred inserts mean the board behaves identically in both directions.

What exactly are Frostbite edges on this board?

Frostbite edges are edge extensions between the bindings that bite better into hardpack or icy snow. On a freestyle and park-oriented board, they provide reliable grip through turns on groomers, even when conditions are less than ideal.

Is the flex of the Burton Process Bad Dog suitable for learning tricks?

The soft, forgiving flex of the Process Bad Dog makes learning tricks easier: the board forgives imperfect foot placement and responds well to torsional movements on features.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
