Description

The Burton Skeleton Key is eye-catching thanks to its directional and angular shape as well as its original design, both on the topsheet and the sole. It's a very maneuverable and efficient board in a wide variety of conditions.

What is the program of the Burton Skeleton Key snowboard?

The Burton Skeleton Key has a tapered shape from nose to tail, as well as an offset foot position on the back, all of which allows for a natural and effortless lift in fresh snow. These features also increase control over the rear foot, allowing you to take curves more easily in all types of terrain. The classic camber is also adapted to this directional shape and will give you a very good grip on hard snow. This makes it an ideal board to carve curves all over the resort, having fun going from the slopes to the edges of the piste, while maintaining a great deal of dynamism, manoeuvrability and playability. A delight!

Who is the Burton Skeleton Key snowboard for?

This model is designed for snowboarders looking for a board that is easy to handle and fun to ride, with which they can ride on all terrains in all conditions.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
