The Burton Story Board is a women’s specific freeride snowboard. With its directional shape and camber + rocker shape, it offers excellent performance on every terrain, whether it is groomers or the backcountry. Its FSC™ Super Fly II™ 700G wood core, reinforced by triax fiberglass and Squeezebox High technology, offers a powerful flex without being too radical, as well as good torsional stiffness.

What is the Burton Story Board snowboard made for?

The Story Board has a freeride shape, tapered with a directional camber and setback foot stance. All this shifts your weight towards the tail, for better backfoot control, more playful turn initiations and better precision, while enabling to lift naturally on pow. The wood core is reinforced by triax fiberglass and carbon, offering a punchy flex without being too radical, as well as good torsional stiffness. The combination of this shape and construction provides performance in the descents. This board is great for alpine riding and tracing beautiful trajectories. In addition, it allows to enjoy various terrains as it excels both on groomers and in the backcountry.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
