Description

The Capita Birds Of A Feather has a poplar and paulownia core, reinforced with glass and carbon fibres for more rebound and torsional rigidity, while maintaining the board's progressive flex. Thus, the Birds Of A Feather is a tonic and reactive snowboard, which maintains an accessible flex providing comfort in the supports and flexibility in the tips. Its classic camber + rocker profile allows for good grip on hardpack while facilitating glide on soft and transformed snow as well as in light powder. Its twin-tip shape, 100% symmetrical from nose to tail with a cantered foot position, provides as much ease in switch as in your natural direction. The ultimate model for freestyle, and you will be able to let loose even more in the snowpark with the Kevlar reinforcements on the sides for more durability. This is a versatile freestyle snowboard ideal for an intermediate or advanced rider enabling progression and enjoyment in the resort.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
