Description

The Capita Scott Stevens Mini is the kid's version of the pro-model of Scott Stevens, a well-known snowboarder who stands out for his creative tricks in street and park. This kid-sized board is inspired by the original version, with the same twin-tip shape and inverted camber for maximum freestyle possibilities and tolerance. In the same vein, it also has a soft flex, making it easier to place presses and even to handle the board in descent.

What is the program of the Capita Scott Stevens Mini snowboard?

The Scott Stevens Mini is obviously an ideal board for freestyle, whether in the snowpark, on the street or on the slopes. Its twin-tip shape allows you to ride it either way, while its inverted camber provides forgiveness on the piste and lift in soft, powdery snow. The poplar/paulownia core is sturdy but offers a soft flex, which makes the board even easier to ride. With the Scott Stevens Mini, you can go for your first snowboarding session and learn to turn on the piste, or join the big boys in the park and work on new tricks.

Who is the Scott Stevens Mini Capita snowboard for?

This model is aimed at children from the beginner / intermediate level but also at young freestyle enthusiasts looking for a playful board to have fun in the snowpark.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
