Designed as Jess Kimura’s pro model, the Capita The Equalizer combines freestyle dynamism with backcountry floatability. It has a directional shape with a pointy nose and more traditional tail, more rocker on the nose and a slightly setback foot stance, improving the floatability and manoeuvrability without compromising on switch riding ability. This combination performs on any snow type, reinforced by a traditional camber section in the middle of the board for grip on groomers and hardpack. The Superlight wood core is reinforced by flax and aramid, improving shock absorption, increasing pop and keeping the natural flex of the wood. This board offers comfort and performance, enabling you to trace beautiful lines and have fun on powder, while providing enough dynamism to send tricks.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
