Product description — League

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Drake League women’s snowboard lets you explore different terrains without having to deal with a board that’s too physically demanding or too technical. Its forgiving ride helps you build confidence on the slopes, while its directional shape and rockers make it easier to ride off-piste and take your first runs in powder.

What is the Drake League snowboard designed for?

Drake developed this board for versatile freeride riding, covering the slopes, off-piste areas, and fresh powder. The flat profile provides stability underfoot and maintains a reassuring ride as speed increases slightly. The tip and tail rockers make it easier to initiate turns and minimize edge errors, allowing you to ride with greater confidence. The twin-directional shape maintains good maneuverability while helping the board float better in powder. The wood core combined with biaxial fiber provides a supple flex and enough responsiveness to help you progress without getting tired.

Who is the Drake League snowboard designed for?

It’s suitable for beginner to intermediate female snowboarders who want an easy-to-handle board to improve on all types of snow. Riders looking for more forgiveness and comfort when edging will also appreciate its accessible ride.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
