Description

The Antigravity model has a directional shape that favours curvature and manoeuvrability on all terrains. It's a snowboard that's fun to ride and made in an eco-friendly way in the United States at the Mervin factory in Seattle. This factory uses green electricity, favours durable materials, limits waste considerably, etc.

What is the program of the GNU Antigravity snowboard?

The Antigravity will not make you take off into space, but on the other hand it will offer you, among other things, excellent flotation in powder snow. With its directional shape, tapered from nose to tail and with a backward foot position, it works naturally in deep snow. If the lift is automatic, the grip on hard snow has nothing to be jealous of. Thanks to the classic camber, you have a good edge grip which allows you to link cut turns on the piste and to work serenely on your carving technique. Dynamic without being too physically demanding, you can set the pace and gradually build up momentum. It's really a board with which you seamlessly link descents, vary the rhythms, the curve angles and the terrain!

Who is the GNU Antigravity snowboard intended for?

We recommend this model to intermediate or advanced snowboarders looking to ride all over the resort and make nice curves in various snow conditions. With this board, an intermediate level will be able to push the limits and progress, while a very experienced snowboarder will appreciate the playability and the easy manoeuvrability of this board.

What are the main qualities of the GNU Antigravity snowboard?

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
