Description

The GNU Gloss is a twin-tip snowboard, i.e., symmetrical and with a well centred binding insert. This allows you to ride either forward or backwards, giving you maximum freestyle options. On the other hand, GNU has a fiberglass-reinforced wood core that gives it a well-balanced flex. It has a good level of pop and stability, but is still playful. It has the perfect flex for snowpark rails and jib tricks. It is progressive, allowing you to level up little by little. You'll appreciate the combination of grip and forgiveness offered by the Magne-Traction edges and the hybrid camber. The hybrid camber is a perfect blend of classic and reverse camber. It also works on the edges of the slopes and soft snow, so you can vary the fun throughout the resort. Perfect for an intermediate/advanced rider looking to progress in freestyle, but not only.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
