Description

The Metal Gnuru is a board that leaves no room to compromise. Gnu has designed an all-mountain performer that can ride everything with the same ease. To build such a machine, they gave it a specific woodcore balancing between flexibility and responsiveness and they shaped the board as a twin-tip which allows freestylers to improve their switch riding. The hybrid camber enhances floatation and agility thanks to a rockered profile but the engineers also wanted the board to be precise and grippy so they threw two cambered sections just underneath the feet enhancing edge control and reactivity. 

 

What our testers say : This is a killer board and you feel it from the first run on. Predominantly freestyle, this all-mountain quiver performs and destroys anything that comes across your path. From pillow lines to steep groomed slopes, the board responds as it should and delivers a solid support at high speed with an enjoyable stability. It's an excellent pick for intermediate or advanced riders who'd like to progress at an accelerated pace.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
