Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Gnu T.R.E. is an all-mountain snowboard with a freestyle focus, developed in collaboration with pro rider Max Warbington. It’s designed for those who don’t want to choose between the park and the rest of the mountain. Its character is more direct and aggressive than a purely playful board, making it a solid choice for anyone looking for power without sacrificing versatility.

What is the Gnu T.R.E. snowboard designed for?

The Gnu T.R.E. is an all-mountain board with a freestyle focus. It rides just as well on groomed runs as it does on park features or off-piste. It’s designed to handle the entire mountain without having to choose your terrain. Its shape is an asymmetrical twin to make backside turns feel more natural. The C2 profile (the name GNU gives to this hybrid profile) combines a central rocker—which provides forgiveness and float in powder—with camber underfoot, which generates grip and pop when edging out. Stability is a real strength of this board: at high speeds on groomed runs, it remains smooth and predictable. MagneTraction, with its wavy edges that increase the number of contact points with the snow, enhances grip on hard or icy snow.

Who is the GNU T.R.E. snowboard designed for?

The GNU T.R.E. is designed for intermediate to advanced snowboarders who want a single board to ride the entire resort, without ruling out the park. Easy to handle, it’s still a responsive board that rewards riders who push the limits.

  • The versatile rider who switches between groomed runs, kickers, and off-piste areas in a single day
  • The snowboarder looking for stability at speed without sacrificing playfulness
  • The rider who wants to improve their all-terrain freestyle skills without sacrificing comfort on the groomed runs

A top choice if you’re looking for a stable, grippy board capable of handling everything from the park to the slopes.

Avoid this if you’re looking for a board exclusively dedicated to jibbing and big jumps.

What’s the difference between the Gnu T.R.E. and the Gnu Money?

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
