The Jones Freecarver 6000s is a versatile all-mountain freeride snowboard. It incorporates cutting-edge technologies such as Power Core and Bio Resin and features a fibreglass-reinforced core for added dynamism.

What is the Jones Freecarver 6000s snowboard made for?

The Freecarver 6000s is a freeride snowboard specifically designed for tighter and more aggressive turns compared to the 9000 model. Its stiffness and high-speed stability, achieved through a traditional camber, ensure excellent edge hold. Additionally, its triax fibreglass construction allows for optimal shock absorption, while its sintered 9900 base guarantees speed and durability. This board is perfect for riders who enjoy carving through border cross courses before tackling the steepest slopes of the backcountry. You need strong legs, but it's worth the effort!

Who is the Jones Freecarver 6000s snowboard aimed at?

The Jones Freecarver 6000s snowboard is aimed at advanced or expert snowboarders who are looking for a board that allows them to push their limits and carve the mountain with precision. It is a true freeride board designed for those who love challenges.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
