Description

The Jones Mountain Twin Junior snowboard is a versatile junior freestyle board, designed to take you from the groomed runs to the park and off-piste areas with a good balance of grip, pop, and lift.

What is the Jones Mountain Twin Junior snowboard designed for?

The Mountain Twin Junior is designed for riding all over the resort with a strong freestyle focus, whether on the slopes, off-piste, on park features, or in softer snow. Its directional twin shape maintains good ease in switch while providing more stability and lift thanks to the slightly rear-set inserts. The CamRock profile combines camber between the feet for grip and pop with rockers at the tip to facilitate pivots and floatation. The 3D base, which is slightly raised at the nose and tail, smooths out turn entries, minimizes edge catches, and makes transitions more fluid, while the Master Wood Core delivers a great balance of weight, responsiveness, and power.

Who is the Jones Mountain Twin Junior snowboard designed for?

It’s designed for young riders who are already riding regularly, comfortable on a variety of terrain, and ready to make the transition from a beginner board to a more responsive one. Its performance is suited for intermediate to advanced riders, with enough pop, grip, and stability to continue progressing in both freestyle and all-mountain riding.

Is the Mountain Twin Junior suitable for the snowpark?

Yes. Its directional twin shape, good pop, and freestyle performance make it comfortable on jumps, small park features, and switch tricks.

Does the Mountain Twin Junior float well in powder?

Yes. The tip rockers, slight setback, and 3D base at the nose and tail help the board float better in fresh or soft snow.

Can you ride the Mountain Twin Junior switch?

Yes. Its directional twin shape maintains true ease in switch, even though the slightly set-back inserts and directional flex also promote stability during classic riding.

Does the extruded base require a lot of maintenance?

No. The Extruded 5000 base is easy to maintain and repair, with glide performance suited for versatile use on the mountain.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
