The new Jones Stratos has a very directional shape, with a pointed nose and a tail with a slight fish shape, which makes it easy to perceive excellent skills in curves and in fresh snow. Yet it will also surprise you with its playability, for fun on the spatulas and placing butters. And because it's a Jones board, it features a high-end and ecological construction, including an Eco-plastic topsheet with a textured finish, FSC-certified wood shell, bio-sourced glue and wax, etc.  

What is the Jones Stratos snowboard program?  

Combining directional design and flex well balanced between performance and playability, the Stratos has the core of a freeride snowboard and the soul of a freestyle snowboard. It offers excellent grip on hard snow thanks to the classic camber and Traction Tech 3.0 technology, allowing you to take turns on the piste with great stability even at high speed. Its generous front rocker provides a lot of fluidity during curve entries while offering an automatic kicker in deep snow. Easy to drive and low energy consumption thanks to its tonic but accessible flex, it invites you to vary the rhythms and curves throughout the resort, and doesn't say no to a few tricks on the kickers on the edges of the track.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
