The Jones Ultra Mountain Twin is a very high-end snowboard, designed for advanced level all-mountain freestyle riders. Stiff and powerful, it features quality materials such as a high-density base offering superb glide and sustainable materials such an FSC certified core, bio sourced wax and glue or even basalt reinforcements.   

What is the program of the Jones Ultra Mountain Twin snowboard?  

Derived from the famous Mountain Twin, the Ultra Mountain Twin uses the same shape but packs more punch. This board offers freestyle performance and can ride powerfully any type of terrain while having the required qualities to handle kicker jumps and send heavy tricks. The construction provides maximum power and stability, with in addition, traditional camber and Traction Tech 3.0 serrated edges for impeccable edge hold. For even more carving abilities, the 3D Base Contour 2.0 gives a slightly rounded shape to the tips to softens edge transfers, while the setback stance facilitates turning. The setback stance is also very useful when riding powder in the glades. Between an explosive pop, switch abilities, stability and efficiency on any type of snow, you have a plethora of options available!

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
