Description

The K2 Broadcast is a slightly directional board with a dynamic wood core reinforced with glass and carbon fibres for more pop, responsiveness and durability. The flex isn't too stiff either, so it's a fun board to ride that still has accessibility and playability. The Sintered 4000 sole offers good glide and durability.  

What is the program of the K2 Broadcast snowboard?  

The K2 Broadcast has a directional shape that makes it easy to turn and ride on all terrain, without taking away from your switch. The tail is thinner than the nose by just a few millimetres, the front rocker is more pronounced than the back rocker and the foot position is set back just under 2 cm. This makes it easier for you to get into the curves and to have a better lift in powder, but you still have a good option in freestyle. The camber + rocker profile works on all types of snow, ensuring an effective grip on the piste to be able to send in carving while ensuring as it should on the edges of the piste and off-piste. Tonic and fluid, it offers pop and rebound during ollie and turns, while being fluid from edge to edge. It maintains its flex so that you can place presses without difficulty and link descents without burning your thighs.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
