Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The K2 Embassy snowboard is a directional freeride board built for full days on the mountain: aggressive carving in the morning, fresh powder as soon as it falls. A board with character that prefers clean lines to flashy tricks.

What’s the K2 Embassy snowboard designed for?

The Embassy is built for fast runs on the groomed slopes and accessible backcountry. Its directional shape features a well-defined tip and tail, making it more comfortable in turns and powder than when riding switch. Its hybrid camber retains camber underfoot for solid grip and pop, with rocker at the tips to float in fresh powder. Its 4000 sintered base delivers fast, long-lasting glide—provided you wax it regularly.

Who is the K2 Embassy snowboard designed for?

This board is designed for intermediate to advanced riders who are already confident on their edges and want to explore freeriding with a responsive board.

  • Aggressive carving on the piste
  • Powder and off-piste

Ideal if you’re looking for grip on hard snow and lift on powder days.

Avoid this board if jibbing and rails are part of your routine: it’s not designed for that.

Frequently Asked Questions About the K2 Embassy Snowboard

Is the Embassy forgiving of mistakes?

This board prefers precise edging: the rocker at the tips offers a bit of forgiveness, but it performs best with precise control.

Does the 4000 sintered base require a lot of maintenance?

It absorbs wax well and retains it for a long time; regular waxing is enough to maintain its glide speed.

What’s the difference between the Embassy and the Gateway Pop?

Same directional freeride family, two philosophies: the Embassy focuses on the glide of its sintered base and has a more demanding character, while the Gateway Pop adds carbon reinforcement and an extruded base that’s easier to maintain.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
