Description

The First Lite Design women’s snowboard from K2 is a forgiving and fun model that allows novice snowboarders to discover the joys of riding at their own pace. Its shape and construction being rather freestyle-oriented, you will be able to try the terrain park as soon as you get comfortable! Indeed, the centred foot stance and perfectly symmetrical shape offer a lot of options and enable to approach the spots in switch with ease. The flat camber + rocker profile promotes forgiveness when catching an edge, while ensuring secure grip on groomers. Finally, the wood core reinforced by glass fibre gives to the First Lite Design a soft flex that makes turning easier and makes the board very playful and fun for freestyle.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
