You're looking for a first board to help your daughter to start her practice? Here's the Lil Kat, a small snowboard specially developed for little girls! Flexible and forgiving, it's the ideal board for beginners.

What's on the agenda for the K2 Lil Kat snowboard?

The Lil Kat uses all the tricks in the book to facilitate learning. Its flat camber makes it very forgiving to start going on the edges without falling, you'll also find rockers on the tips to enhance the handling and help the board to slide on the bad-quality snow you often find at the bottom of the slopes. Of course, the board is very flexible and perfectly suited for your kid's weight. Last but not least, there are small holes on the tips, pass a cord inside and you can use the board as a sledge to pull your daughter along! A pretty simple idea but someone had to think of it!

Who is the K2 Lil Kat snowboard for?

Little girls who are just starting snowboarding will love it! This board exists in different sizes going from 75 to 120cm depending on the size of your daughter.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
