Description

Perfect to start snowboarding, the K2 Mini Turbo Design is a friendly and forgiving board that allows young beginner riders to have a taste of the joys of riding. You can start by towing them thanks to a rope you can attach to one of the holes located at the tips of the board. After getting comfortable, little snowboarders will be able to try their first descents. The Mini Turbo Design is designed with light rocker at the tips for more playfulness and to improve the glide in soft snow at the bottom of the slopes. The flex is very soft and the flat camber ensures great forgiveness and easy manoeuvres to pardon mistakes. Ideal to progress at your pace, ride your first descents with a fun model.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
