Product description — Passport

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The K2 Passport snowboard is designed for riders who carve wide turns: fast runs, backcountry, and variable snow conditions. A directional freeride board built to handle varied terrain without breaking a sweat.

What’s the K2 Passport snowboard all about?

The Passport is designed to ride the entire mountain at a good speed, from the groomed runs in the morning to the powder at the bottom of the valley. Its directional shape, with a clearly defined tip and tail, prioritizes carving and float over riding switch. Its hybrid camber combines camber underfoot for grip and rocker at the tips for forgiveness and float. The triaxial fiber with carbon inserts stabilizes the board and delivers consistent power when the terrain gets rough.

Who is the K2 Passport snowboard designed for?

This board is designed for intermediate to expert riders who tackle all types of terrain and expect their board to perform without hesitation.

  • Freeride and powder
  • High-speed runs and uneven snow

A top choice if you’re looking for a stable, grippy board capable of handling anything throughout the day.

Avoid this if your main playground is the park.

Frequently Asked Questions About the K2 Passport Snowboard

Does the Passport stay stable at high speeds?

Yes. Its carbon-reinforced triaxial construction absorbs bumps and keeps the board stable when things get rough.

What does the ICG 20 fiber bring to this board?

Its carbon inserts integrated into the fiberglass make the board lighter and distribute power evenly under your feet.

What’s the difference between the Passport and the Skypilot?

Two carbon-reinforced directional freeride boards. The Passport retains a classic shape focused on stability and speed; the Skypilot features the Volume Shift design—shorter and wider—making it more maneuverable and playful, especially in the trees.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
