Description

The K2 Raygun is a board that is easy to handle on all types of snow but also very playful in freestyle and comfortable in switch. Its wood core reinforced with glass and carbon fibres offers lightness, durability and reactivity. The flex is well balanced between power and comfort. Finally, the Extruded 2000 sole offers a good glide and requires little maintenance.  

What is the program of the K2 Raygun snowboard?  

The Raygun has a very pronounced rocker in the front tip that offers a lot of ease in the entry of the curve, while its flat camber facilitates the taking of the edge with a good compromise between grip and tolerance on the errors of edge. The slightly set back position of the binding inserts also makes it easier to enter turns, while offering a natural lift on the small powder sections of the slopes. Perfect, The Raygun is perfect for linking turns on the slopes with ease and for having fun on the slopes. Finally, the tolerance and playability of this board also lends itself to freestyle sessions in the snowpark, with a lot of ease when switching.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
