Description

This is a board that does not go unnoticed with its very directional shape, starting with a bulky and pointed nose, then refining in the center and finally gaining width with a very present tail that smells like powder! Available in only two sizes, 151 and 156, we advise you to choose it a few centimeters shorter than your usual board in order to get the most out of its playability and manoeuvrability.  

What is the program of the K2 Simple Pleasures snowboard?  

Voluminous with spatulas for floatation in the fresh, thinner in its center to keep responsiveness on the piste, the “Simple Pleasures” are there to launch the turn whatever the conditions. Its shape, its generous rocker in the front spatula, as well as the reclined foot position, providing a very pleasant lift in the powder. However, on hard snow, we find a board that grips and holds its edge well thanks to the classic camber, while the Bambooyah Core offers maximum responsiveness and bounce thanks to the natural properties of bamboo, while retaining flexibility for a great ride comfort. Thus, we enjoy an ultra-dynamic board, capable of evolving on any type of terrain with the ability to turn short at any time and follow any trajectory.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
