The K2 Vandal is an all-mountain freestyle snowboard specifically designed for young riders. This board is perfect for those looking to improve their skills and experience all aspects of the mountain. It features an Aspen Core, Biax Fiberglass, and Twin Rocker Baseline™ technology, along with a 100% Twintip shape.

What is the K2 Vandal snowboard made for?

The Vandal is an all-mountain freestyle board that is perfect for intermediate to advanced young riders. Its flat camber provides a secure feel on snow, offering just the right amount of grip for a confident ride without the risk of catching an edge. The Catch-Free Tune edge bevel adds forgiveness for a more user-friendly experience. The rockers at the tips soften the transitions between turns and facilitate riding on soft snow off the sides of groomers. Finally, its twin-tip shape, with symmetrical nose and tail and centred binding inserts, makes it perfect for freestyle. Once your young rider has mastered the basics, they can have fun in the terrain park sending tricks and riding switch.

Who is the K2 Vandal snowboard aimed at?

The Vandal is specifically designed for intermediate to advanced level young riders. Thanks to its versatility and ease of use, it's ideal for young snowboarders who want to progress and develop their freestyle skills.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
