Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Lib Tech Orca has a very directional shape optimised for powder. The long front tip, the deep foot position and the tight tail with its special shape offer immediate fluidity in powder. Turns are seamless and the board is easy to launch. Available in many sizes, it is recommended to choose a few centimetres (3 to 6) shorter than your usual board size, to fully enjoy its agility. This makes it a great backcountry board for slaloming through pines and pillows when the conditions are right. The C2X hybrid camber provides a mix of precision, control and lift, also allowing you to maintain grip when riding on hard snow. A fun board to ride that provides great control and a great feel in powder. Ideal as a second board dedicated to the best weather conditions of the year.

What are the main qualities of the Lib Tech Orca snowboard?

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
