Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Micron Magic is a modern snowboard with a freestyle-like shape and a construction that offers lots of tolerance. It's a perfect combination for learning on the slopes and discovering the many facets of snowboarding.

What is the program of the Nidecker Micron Magic snowboard?

The Micron Magic has a qualitative construction with a wood shell over the entire length, reinforced with fiberglass. It is robust but very flexible, making it easy to handle for small riders and provides tolerance in the ride. The flat camber + rockers profile provides a high degree of comfort during the edge/snow contact. Edge faults are limited and beginners feel more comfortable when taking turns. This profile also ensures a better glide in the snow at the edges of the piste and in a slightly transformed snow at the end of the day or in spring. Finally, the freestyle shape allows the more adventurous to commence their first tricks once they have mastered the basics!

Who is the Nidecker Micron Magic snowboard for?

We recommend this board to young children just starting out in snowboarding because it provides all the tolerance and ease necessary to discover the discipline and learn the basics while promoting progression.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
