Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Nidecker Thruster is a benchmark among directional snowboards, designed to combine dynamism and lightness. This board targets thrill-seekers with a glide that's all about control. Perfect for linking big turns, the piste is its preferred terrain, and it retains good powder skills.

What's in it for the Nidecker Thruster snowboard?

The Thruster features a Light Core wood core, wrapped in two layers of triaxial fiberglass and reinforced with carbon inserts, an assembly that guarantees excellent steering precision and big energy return underfoot. Its traditional camber offers fearsome grip on hard or groomed snow and energizes every transition from one turn to the next. Its tapered shape and recessed inserts optimize off-piste lift while making curve initiation fluid, for a controlled ride whatever the conditions. In addition, Sidekick technology subtly enhances the outer edges of the nose and tail for impeccable behavior in deep snow. The result: a board that's both stable and agile, built for on-piste performance with a healthy dose of versatility to go anywhere.

Who is the Nidecker Thruster snowboard for?

The Thruster is aimed at experienced and expert snowboarders, with perfect control of their stance and a desire to move at full speed and with technique in both groomed snow and fresh powder.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
