A 173 or 203 cm snowboard doesn't go unnoticed and takes up a bit of space in the ski lift cabins. It's clearly the most striking board in the Nitro catalogue because of its extravagant shape, the Cannon is a missile for big snow conditions! 

What is the program of the Nitro Cannon snowboard?  

With its unusual length, very tapered shape and unique cut, the Cannon has been designed for fresh snow. It's simple, it floats and lifts without limitations. To make this machine easier to drive, the feet has a setback position for less effort when entering curves. In the same vein, the directional flex and rocker zones allows the spatula to work well and follow the movement. You've understood it, this weapon allows you to send long curves in the powder fields and why not between the pines for the most skilful among you. The curious will have fun testing it on the tracks, a fun but technically experienced model!

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
